Start to Finish

How a Court Sale Works

One team manages the sale from the first inspection to the final report of sale.

Inspection

We review the assets and premises with the trustee or counsel and give a realistic picture of what a sale can recover.

2

Appraisal (Optional)

USPAP-compliant FLV, OLV and FMV appraisals in the format the court and the parties require.

3

Retention & Approval

We supply the information counsel needs for our retention and the sale motion, and schedule around the court calendar and notice periods.

4

Catalog & Advertise

Every lot is photographed and described. The sale is advertised publicly, with the court authority line and case reference, to buyers nationwide.

5

Auction

On-site, online-only or webcast. We handle registration, bidding, clerking, buyer payments and removal from the premises.

6

Report of Sale

An itemized lot-by-lot report of sale and the net proceeds, typically within 30 business days of the auction.
